Overview & Responsibilities

General Mills is seeking a Global eCommerce Strategy Manager to accelerate the maturity and growth of the eCommerce business globally. The Global eCommerce Strategy Manager identifies and sizes opportunities, ensures strategic alignment, and drives execution of prioritized projects in support of the segment business teams. The team works to drive global best practice sharing and development of tools and capabilities to enable rapid acceleration of eCommerce. The role requires strategic thinking, comfort in ambiguous situations, strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels and functions, ability to navigate and influence a matrixed structure to successfully advance eCommerce. The purpose of the Global Ecommerce team is to accelerate Ecommerce growth across General Mills.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and leverage relationships across business teams to strengthen understanding and integration of eCommerce as a growth driver
  • Identify and develop opportunities to accelerate Ecommerce and build cross-functional support in collaboration with business teams
  • Help develop and execute eCommerce Learning & Development that will upskill the organization and maximize eCommerce
  • Collaborate closely with the Solutions Development team and Product Owners to set priorities, allocate resources, shepherd new capabilities projects forward, and ensure global application
  • Build a vibrant, virtual eCommerce community through communication and teambuilding
  • Set global eCommerce strategy and roadmap and evolve it over time
  • Identify, size, and prioritize global eCommerce opportunities
  • Build and leverage relationships across business teams to create holistic strategies and plans
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 years relevant business leadership experience
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Strong knowledge of digital landscapes and ecosystems
  • Comfortable defining and refining in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business partners and leaders across levels, functions and cultures, positively influencing the advancement of eCommerce
  • Imaginative, curios, creative and out-of-the-box critical thinker – demonstrate a creative approach to problem solving that leverages and challenges current thinking
  • Ability to see the bigger picture while developing a tangible action plan
  • Adaptable to changing team needs
  • Strong digital and Ecommerce acumen

 

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCES

  • Experience navigating highly matrixed organizations
  • Experience driving direction and action through ambiguity
  • Experience in organization pursuing digital transformation, particularly in the CPG or retail industries
