General Mills is a leader in school foodservice, and our K-12 business has been a critical growth driver for C&F over the years. Our work has an impact on students and communities across the country, and this team is on a mission to ensure every child is well-fed and ready to learn.

Our team is seeking a passionate, strategic, and creative individual to inspire and enable growth for General Mills in the K-12 Channel. This individual will lead the creation of operator- and consumer-first marketing plans and drive activation to bring innovative growth ideas and solutions to market so that we achieve our mission.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated abilities to create compelling insight-driven strategies as well as rallying internal teams to activate meaningful plans that deliver value to those we serve. In this role, you’ll gain broad experience helping lead a large priority business for the C&F segment. You’ll play key role in ensuring students have access to nutritious, delicious food to prepare them for learning. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead annual K-12 plans:
    • Develop strategies to deliver K-12 channel growth that outpaces the industry
    • Lead cross-functional teams to generate annual plans and provide clear direction and priorities
    • Lead work with our creative agency to enhance our creative strategy and annual campaign plans
    • Partner with Marketing Communications to deliver communications that generate high engagement from Operators
  • Chart a course for product pipelines that will delight operators and students:
    • Identify the business needs for where to invest in innovation and renovation across product platforms
    • Serve as the K-12 Channel voice in new product development, in partnership with Platform Marketing
    • Develop Go-to-Market strategies and manage in-market execution of new and renovated items
  • Enable superior activation:
    • Assess business performance and apply business and performance insights to influence and drive action
    • Represent channel insights to monthly Foodservice Demand Review
    • Bring big, bold growth-driving ideas to the business

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years related business experience
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Thrives in cross-functional team environment – ability to collaborate across boundaries, levels, functions
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to prioritize important growth imperatives
