Overview & Responsibilities

The Security & Technology Compliance manager will be responsible for managing a diverse set of resources supporting various Global Security functions within General Mills including: Enterprise Vulnerability Management, 3rd Party Security Risk, and Compliance. This manager will be responsible for leading Mumbai resources in delivering critical priorities. In addition, this role will be responsible for maintaining strong communication, alignment with corporate teams located in Minneapolis. This role will be focused on maintain a motivated, enthusiastic work force focused on delivering efficient, high quality results.

Organizational Structure 

Number of Reports that are Indirect Reports : 9-12 Individual Contributors
What percentage of time is spent managing others: 60%

30% of Time

Functional Responsibilities
– Functional ownership of India Security and Technology Compliance Team which consists of Compliance, Enterprise Vulnerability Management & 3rd Party Risk Assessment teams
– Oversee project deliverables
– Contribute to functional initiatives
– Functional knowledge and SME of key systems providing technical leadership to the team
– Contribute to the budget tracking.
– Relationship management between Mumbai and US teams
– Create and contribute to knowledge sharing platforms

40% of Time

Operational Responsibilities
– Manage day to day operation for the team
– Manage assigned support services. Deliver desired results
– Collaborate with US Managers and continuously align on expectations and deliverables
– Oversee and monitor daily progress on key projects
– Manage team availability
– Travel and Training

30% of Time

People Responsibilities
– Performance Management of team members
– Individual Development Plan
– Regular 1:1 and feedback
– Individual growth
– Talent Reviews
– Year-end calibration
– People and Org review

Qualifications

Education

Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors
Preferred Degree Requirements: Bachelors
Preferred Major Area of Study:
Required Professional Certifications:
Preferred Professional Certifications: CISSP, CISA, CTPRP

Experience

Minimum years of related experience required: 5+ years
Preferred years of related experience: 10 + years

 Previous experience in supporting & leading a team environment in a global matrixed organization
 Global business engagement
 Can prioritize & complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines
 Excellent people management skills that involve building team work, mentoring and developing teams
 Outstanding customer service skills
 Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines
 Lead the team from front providing directions
 Practical and thorough knowledge of IT risk related technologies, procedures, and best practices
