Aperçu et Responsabilités

OVERVIEW

As a Construction Lead, you will perform quote and work order management for projects at starting levels with little assistance. You will lead the fabrication of proprietary equipment within the Shop located at the James F. Bell Technical Center in Golden Valley, MN. As a Construction Lead, you are responsible to manage scope, schedule and budget for each build. You must understand the shop work order process completely and have the ability to create work order requests on your own.

As a Construction Lead, you will travel to any General Mills domestic or international facility to lead installations or plant support requested.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Interact with outside vendors with assistance from Team Leader
  • Prepare and provide quotes. Run jobs for up to $2.0MM
  • Fill out requests for purchase requisitions
  • Manage shop work orders including tracking
  • Predictive Maintenance Technologies
  • Send out job update on status of projects
  • Create estimates and bids for jobs
  • Operates Maximo, Solid works, FTP site
  • Leads creation of One Point Lessons
  • Leads training and works on Operational/Maintenance manual creation
  • Mentor fellow Technologists
Qualifications

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate Science or Associate Art degree or diploma from an accredited vocational school, two-year community college, or equivalent training from the military or acceptable program 

  • 8+ years of work experience in shop area or equivalent

  • Understands the Requirements of Construction Management
  • Strong Process knowledge
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically within the US and globally to lead projects (can travel up to 40% of the time depending on the project)

  • Strong customer communication skills. 

  • Familiar with Solid Works software
  • Knowledge of invoicing and shipping practices
  • General Knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools
