Overview & Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW


Perform at the Auto Service Center as a front line service technician specializing in vehicle repair and diagnostics

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The use of service and repair equipment including:
    • Alignment machine
    • Brake Lathe (Bench Lathe and On The Car Lathe)
    • Computer Scan Tool
    • Multi Meter
    • Other Service, Repair, Diagnostic and Hand Tools
  • All electronic and mechanical systems for a wide variety of vehicles
  • Performing diagnostic tests and inspections to determine root cause of vehicle malfunction.
Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • 1+ years experience working at a job that requires a similar level of skill and knowledge
  • 2 year degree in Automotive Service Technology (or similar)
  • The use of service and repair equipment including:
    • Alignment machine
    • Brake Lathe (Bench Lathe and On The Car Lathe)
    • Computer Scan Tool
    • Multi Meter
    • Other Service, Repair, Diagnostic and Hand Tool
  • All electronic and mechanical systems for a wide variety of vehicles
  • Performing diagnostic tests and inspections to determine root cause of vehicle malfunction.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Strong leadership ability – able to direct workflow, make sound decisions in a timely manner, coordinate with multiple vendors to successfully complete projects
  • Strong team player – able to work well with other ASC team members, build rapport and relationships easily with co-workers and clients
  • Strong focus on customer service – able to proactively determine customer needs, identify and suggest improvements in service procedures and policies
