Overview & Responsibilities

This position is for Demand Chain Solution Development – Strategic Revenue Management Team. SD DC organization caters to various Sales/Marketing teams across the globe in areas like Digital Analytics, Content, Brand Design, SRM, Trade etc. SRM Team works on supporting the Revenue Management initiatives across General Mills Segments globally.

A Successful candidate will be –
• Accountable for extracting data, design, develop, deploy and support interactive data Visualization dashboards using Tableau. This includes data management, ongoing maintenance, change management, and also building new reports.
• Understand how each tool integrates with Databases /Data Mining/ Data Warehousing.
• Basic understanding of data and the ability to design and develop a report.
• It requires strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders to understand specific requirements and develop solutions based on those requirements.

65% of Time Operational Responsibilities

• Conceptualize new dashboards, leadership reports based on business requirements that can communicate stories and insights
• Identify opportunities to apply diagnostic insights to data. Use recognized data analysis & visualization techniques to make sense of data in a way that helps the markets to discover useful information to improve the overall business objectives and performance
• Support production of monthly reports and Highlight key focus areas supplemented by commentaries substantiating the data
• Communicate concisely and meaningfully the outcome of the review to business stakeholders to facilitate fact-based decision making

25% of Time Operational Responsibilities

• Ad-Hoc Reporting: Assist the team in ad-hoc reports, delivery of data by identifying trends, conceptualize reporting formats, and write inferences (commentary) & ensuring high quality output.
• Gain comprehensive understanding of GMI categories and Compiling, analyzing and interpreting point of sale data to build reports and presentations

– Make presentations on the right forum

Qualifications

Education

Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors: BE/B.Tech, BSC IT/Comp Science, BBA, BCOM
Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters: MCA, MSC (Comp Science), MBA
Preferred Major Area of Study: Marketing / Market Research, Operations, IT, Computer Science

Experience
Minimum years of related experience required: 2 years of data Visualization experience in CPG (or related) industry.
Preferred years of related experience: 3-4 years of data Visualization experience in CPG (or related) industry.

Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed

– Good technical knowledge of Tableau tool with 2-4 years of hands on experience
– Experience/knowledge of other Visualization tools like Spotfire, Qlikview, PowerBI is an added advantage
– Prior Experience in Dashboard Creation and basic programming (SQL or Oracle) is a must
– Ability to handle big data sets, data mining from different databases like Nielsen Database, Social Media data etc.
– Good Data Warehouse knowledge (Centralizing or Aggregating data from multiple sources) mainly in BI implementation / reporting
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Preferably MS-Excel, MS-Power point)
– Ability to manage stakeholder’s expectations and quality standards
– Exceptional analytical, organizational/prioritization and communications skills (written and verbal)
– Domain knowledge of Retail/CPG would be added advantage.
