Overview & Responsibilities

You will be part of a global team that is responsible for managing our Enterprise Reporting and Analytics platforms, including SAP Business Objects Suite, Tibco Spotfire, and Tableau. Help Authors and Users visualize data from SAP, Hadoop, Oracle, SQL Server and other data sources to generate insights and drive key business decisions

·         Accountable for operational health and wellness of the Reporting and Analytics enterprise-supported platforms:

o   Perform administrative tasks on enterprise-supported reporting and analytics platforms including application configuration, user set-up, security, licensing, and user break fix issue resolution.

o   Responsible for the application layer. Work closely with other IT infrastructure teams (eApps, Basis) on OS, HW and Network layers.

o   Performance tuning and optimization of platforms.

o   Perform capacity planning and report solution rationalization activities

o   Identify high resource consumption reports for tuning

·         Provide consulting to internal clients on how to deploy content to the server platforms.

·         Collect and share knowledge with stakeholders on tool standards and best practices through various sources including our internal virtual training site (go/reportingtools).

·         Lead centralized procurement, approval and distribution of licensing for R&A tools (desktop & server) in coordination with Finance, Sourcing and Software Asset Management (SAM) teams.

·         Define and provide governance of standards, best practices and processes on R&A platforms

·         Contribute to the Enterprise Community of Practice (CoP) for Reporting and Analytics (R&A).  

·         Market/Educate the R&A capabilities internally.

Minimum Degree Requirements:  

Bachelors

Preferred Major Area of Study:

Engineering

Preferred Professional Certifications:

Certification in Analytics, Visualization

Experience

Minimum years of related experience required:

6 to 8 years

Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed:

  • Demonstrated skills in supporting and developing complex reports, dashboards and visualization in any of the following; Tableau, Spotfire, WEBI, crystal reports, design studio etc.
  • Ability to work with multiple and complex data sources – SAP r/3, Oracle, Social, Hadoop, POS etc.
  • Experience in developing semantic layer and basic knowledge in PL/SQL

    • Tibco Spotfire (Server and Desktop)
    • Tableau (Server and Desktop)
  • Strong relational (SQL) and OLAP data understanding and design skills
  • Data Warehouse Architecture & Multi-Dimensional Data Modeling
  • Reporting Systems administration, including configuration, license management, performance tuning, data connection management, upgrades and hot fix application.-
  • Data Science tools administration. (Cloudera Data science work bench, H2Care, R-Studio, R Shiny)
  • Incident Management & Outage Communication
  • Agile Project Management, including sprint planning, user story development, estimation, time tracking, and scrum updates
