Overview & Responsibilities

The Customer Account Specialist’s key responsibilities are to drive incremental volume growth and to sustain existing volume by selling within the K-12, College & University, Healthcare, Lodging, Business & Industry and Commercial Segments in Boston and the surrounding areas in Massachusetts. The Customer Account Specialist will work closely with the New England foodservice sales team and develop relationships with key customers to achieve region volume objectives. The individual is expected to communicate regularly with teammates while providing expertise around products, competitors and industry knowledge. Customer Account Specialists are to make 12-15 consultative sales calls per week and follow the sales process to close the sale and record results. The individual is also responsible for leveraging sales tools and analyzing internal reporting to strategically plan daily activities and to identify new business opportunities. The CAS will also support critical distributor and industry events.

• Develop operator business plans in conjunction with region plans
• Develop strategic geographic call patterns to maximize call coverage
• Develop and leverage local operator opportunities (product and promotion)

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Related Experience: 2 years, 5 years preferred
