Overview & Responsibilities

Deliver modern multi-channel communication ideas and plans, steward activations and produce remarkable business results for brands in the General Mills portfolio. Lead and coach a talented team to deliver an orchestrated consumer journey and provide vision to the broad team on marketing through a communications lens.  Drive remarkable execution across proven levers, while pushing to test and explore for the future.

Use your skills and experience to:

  • Work closely with brand marketers, agencies, and cross-functional teams in the creation of consumer first communication strategies, ideas, and plans
  • Aggressively pursue opportunities & create communications deliverables that align with business goals and objectives
  • Lead teams, both internal and external, to uncover innovative ideas and deliver comprehensive marketing communications plans across all channels
  • Apply critical thinking and strategic frameworks to drive the work
  • Be an expert, always learning about consumers, their behaviors and consumption patterns as well as emerging trends in culture
  • Build relationships across disciplines and with external partners
  • Demonstrate leadership in identifying trends, opportunities, issues and best practices across marketing communications
  • Develop and maintain an acute knowledge of the brand – category, consumer and communications landscape
  • React quickly to strategically align with changing communications needs
  • Ensure brand consistency across communications channels
  • Contribute to briefs that inspire agency partners to create meaningful ideas rooted in consumer truths and insights
  • Coach your team and contribute to their career growth
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in working with multiple marketing communication touchpoints (Including digital, social, PR, promotions or price incentives)
  • 8+ years of communications experience, strongly prefer experience working in a strategic planning or media role within an agency
  • 4+ years of digital experience
  • Experience orchestrating and executing multi-faceted plans
  • Clear understanding and ability to translate strategy into tactical executions
  • Experience leading people/teams
  • Track record of close collaboration with creative partners to bring holistic ideas to life
  • Ability to apply precision and focus to flawless execution
  • National brand experience
  • Ability to execute on consumer insights
  • CPG industry experience preferred
