Overview & Responsibilities

Job Overview:

The Canada Analyst role provides key administrative support to aid in the financial management of trade and ensures accuracy, audit, and control of trade funds/promotions in Nexus for the General Mills Canada Business.

A critical to success factor for the role is to proactively partner with all stakeholders to identify trends on customer behavior and resolve issues that cause disruption in the Trade deduction management process. The expectation from the role is also to identify and drive process improvement for streamlining processes and maintaining the health of the process via strong knowledge management practices of documentation, training and coaching of team members.

Responsibilities:

25%of Time AR Governance
• Assume end to end ownership of all aspects of Account Receivable ( Total AR, AR over 90, Unsupported, Unsupported over 90, Invalids, Sales Queries, Customer Trade pending, GBS WIP, Untouched) for the customer teams that have been assigned.
• Proactively identify issues, perform RCA analysis and suggest process improvements to keep all components of AR within the customer specific threshold limits

20%of Time Sales Queries Resolution
• Ensure accuracy and hygiene of information available on the Sales query tracker through audits
• Actively work with Sales, Sales FAs and Trade deduction management team to resolve outstanding queries as well as reduce the number of new queries that are being raised to the sales

5%of Time Invalid Deduction Tracking/ SSF Reporting
• Maintain tracking of all open repayment requests as well as own SSF reporting
• Reconcile SSF report with deductions written off in SAP to ensure that there is no disconnect
• Ensure maintenance of invalids information on sharepoint to aid sales in raising repayment requests with the customers

30%of Time Control/Monitoring Procedures on Funds/Promotions in Nexus
• Support setup of Funds/Activities in Nexus
• Identify Deal Sheet and Cost sheet discrepancies and resolve the same by working with Sales
• Track Actual Trade vs Plan
• Monitor Trade movements , Overspent / Underspent Promotions as well as Trade Risk / Opportunity

10%of Time Year End/ Nexus Close Support
• Closely manage all of the above through critical year end countdown/close process
• Assume ownership for executing critical path for Nexus close activity
• Actively engage with Sales Finance and Sales to true-up estimates and resolve outstanding items
• Play lead role in Q1/Q2 to close-out prior year trade and explain differences to estimate

10%of Time On-going administrative support to Sales Finance
• Manage daily/weekly/monthly BOBJ pulls and retention for audit purposes
• Prepare monthly SOX reports for Customer teams & route the same to Sales Financial analysts and Sales Directors for approvals
• Ensure timely approval and retention of documentation for SOX audit purposes
• Support Various Tools & reporting required by the Sale Finance and Sales teams
• Support monthly/annual updates to tools/templates (i.e. Daily Trade Tracker, Clearing Templates etc.)

Qualifications

Qualification:

Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors
Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters
Preferred Major Area of Study: Finance

Experience:

Minimum years of related experience required: 3 years
Preferred years of related experience: 6 years
