Overview & Responsibilities

As an Account Executive (AE), you will be responsible for growing sales through the introduction and execution of sales plans and programs for key distributor and operator accounts.

 

AEs are consistently challenged to grow relationships and deliver results. Every day will uncover a new challenge and new opportunity to sell, and you’ll partner with your teammates to work together, win, and celebrate success.

 

As an AE in Indiana, you build and execute strategic plans while having the flexibility and creativity to get the job done your own way. You’ll also work closely with a local Customer Account Specialist (CAS) counterpart as well as manage two foodservice distributors in US Foods (USF) and Sysco. Even better, the US Foods Indiana area is a hub so your impact will span beyond your territory and our region!

 

The Great Lakes Region is looking for an Account Executive who is excited to bring outside their box thinking to the region to join us in our quest to crush program in Fiscal Year 20 and beyond!

Analyze & Build Strategies

  • Build a deep understanding of your customers and business to analyze and identify key opportunities consistent with the business plan

Plan

  • Develop plans to build a balance, sustainable and growing business with your Distributors and Operators
  • Work with your Foodservice Ingredients, Convenience, and Foodservice peers to drive differentiated value in the market

Sales Execution Responsibilities

  • Lead in the execution of the strategies at two major distributors to exceed plan
  • Execute division level and local programs as outlined by National Account Executives.
  • Develop and implement merchandising and marketing programs specific to the accounts within your territory
  • Successfully launch new products through the implementation of national focused promotions and programs
  • Develop creative strategies to influence Distributor Sales Reps to sell General Mills products
  • Responsible for being the US Foods Area hub point to execute strategic plans and initiatives

Budget Management Responsibilities

Financial management and responsibility for funds as outlined for Travel & Expense and distributor trade budgets

Other Responsibilities

  • Coordination and communication of information that will assist the Zone Manager in managing the trade budget including approvals, business reviews, and regular updates
  • Coordinate food shows, vendor fairs, and sales meetings, as well as operator product trainings
  • Accountable for monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting business through monthly business reviews and check ins with Region Manager
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 Years of Industry Experience
  • Problem Solving & Analytical Skills
  • Strategic Business Development
