Overview & Responsibilities

This position is for an IT manager who is responsible for GBS IT Application Development team. This team is focused on custom applications development in Microsoft and other non-sap software’s. Administrative ownership on Applications, Databases, Code, TFS, Build and Deploy, Developer access. The ideal candidate should have strong background on technologies and experience in leading and managing a team. He should be able to provide performance feedback, career counseling and development of team members and ensure adherence to IT practices, policies and procedures

A strong leader who can keep the team members motivated, enthusiastic and challenged enough to work on the deliverables. This person is responsible for maintaining a very people friendly environment and understand key technologies and trends within Application Development.

Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed:

–               Manage the Application Development organization in GMI IT in India (Non-SAP Custom applications)

–               Functional owner for Application Development team (Sales/Trade) in India

–               Own application/ permissions/ DB’s

–               Provide performance feedback, career counseling and development of team members

–               Ensure adherence to IT practices, policies and procedures

–               Ensure production applications are supported and issues managed with expediency

–               Understand key technologies and trends

–               Staffing models/plans/succession

–               Regional functional ownership for the function

–               IDP, Objectives, Midyear and annual reviews

–               Service plans and service level agreements

–               Direct team towards innovation

–               Continuous improvements and road mapping objectives

–               Build effectiveness and efficiency of the team

–               Previous experience supporting and leading in a team environment

–               Working in global matrix environment

–               Global business engagement

–               Can prioritize and complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines

–               Work with CXO / Director level management

–               Working in global matrix Organization with multiple reporting across various countries
