Sr Analyst – LIMS

Overview & Responsibilities
    • Role is Techno-functional System Analyst for our LIMS application used in General Mills Labs. Person should be proficient in LIMS, Database such as Oracle PL/SQL. Develop technical and functional expertise in labware systems to collaborate with ITQ (Innovation Technology & Quality) area of business.
    • Guide the design and development of solutions for LIMS enhancements/projects
    • Provide first class service and proactively work to improve overall environment stability and ease of support.
    • Develop close partnership with business users to truly understand needs and facilitate connections to GBS IT & Engineering to ensure end to end solution optimization.
    • Use a broad range of continuous improvement tools to provide insights, drive out waste, and improve system performance.
    • Provide training and mentoring of support community across the field.
  • Rotational off-hour support.

20% of time:

Client Consultation and Business Partnering

 

  • Work effectively with clients to identify client needs and success criteria, and translate into clear project objectives, timelines, and plans.

Be responsive and timely in sharing project updates, responding to client queries, and delivering on project commitments

65% of time:

Excellent Technical Work

 

  • Demonstrate experience and expertise in the Labware related to design, configuration/customization, documentation, testing, and implementation of Lab Ware including, but not limited to:  
  • Analysis configuration
  • Batch Templates configuration
  • User Configuration
    • Lot Manager
    • Stability Study Manager
    • Stored Query Manager
    • Standard and Reagent Manager
    • Interfacing laboratory instrumentation via the Lab Ware Lab Station module.
    • Visual Workflows
    •  
    • Should be proficient in developing new complex functionalities using LIMS Basic.
    •  
    • Should be proficient in building complex SQL Queries, optimizing queries etc
    •  
    • Provide on-going technical, troubleshooting, and support for End Users.
    •  
    • Train End users on New functionalities.
    •  

    Assist with Identification and documentation of new report requirements; complete reports development along with Report developers.
