Overview & Responsibilities

CPW team at GCI works on harmonization of data across 52+ markets to produce one consolidated Global data warehouse which is used for Global performance evaluation of our brands & track the competitive space.

The candidate is expected to:

  • Be well versed with all POS/RMS facts and their usage
  • Work closely with variety of stakeholders (Marketing, Trade, etc.) to understand the business questions, identify the data sources required to answer those questions and share impactful insights using all available resources
  • Share detailed analysis/insights/deep dives looking at data through different lenses – pricing, innovation, opportunity identification, promotion, market study, competitive space, etc.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge about the business portfolio and process
  • Gain expertise in using in-house self serve tools
  • Evaluate multiple data sources (POS, Panel, Consumption, Mintel, Media, etc.) and synthesize this data to draw detailed analysis and insights. Provide the “story” not just the data.

  • Stakeholder management
  • Probe to understand the underlying Business question from stakeholders and share relevant insights that drives impact to the Business
  • Share insights proactively & frequently using the pool of data available
  • Gain expertise in using the tools developed in-house
  • Analyzing market trends across geographies and provide useful insights to the Business
  • Use multiple data sources (POS, Panel, Consumption, Mintel, Media) and synthesize this data to draw detailed analysis and insight
  • Work on BAUs like category deep dives, competitor analysis, etc

10% of time:

Operational Responsibilities

    • Keep self updated with latest tools & technology
    • Participate in project related trainings

      Self-Development

    • Make presentations on the right forum

    •  

Education:Bachelores/ Masters (Marketing / Market Research)

Experience: 4-6 years

Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed:

  • Should have worked on Category deep dives, promotional analysis, brand studies, price pack optimization, innovation studies, opportunity identification
  • Strong technical knowledge of Syndicated research (Point of Sale)
  • Good understanding of Factory /Sell-in data
  • Experience working with Mintel & Euromonitor
  • Story telling skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders together
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Data handling skills with strong excel knowledge
  • Strong Data analysis & Reporting skill
